Summary
Fluxdoor is a portal site for all that is about studying abroad. Main target is Korean audience who would like to search for the information on how-to’s, and resources.
1. Definition
flux /fləks/

2. Conceptualize
I started play with some geometries and typefaces
Some of the inspirations includes; open door (obvious?), flux capacitor (Yes, from the back to the future), window.
3. Sketching
After focusing on few of the ideas, I started to get it on a grid system with certain rules (I usually use Fibonacci grid/golden ratio).
4. Development
Narrow it down but consider B/W, Full color and other variations.
5. Finalize
Based on clients feedback and preference, I began to narrow down and then expand ideas. After few iteration and client feed back, We narrowed it down to 3 and made a few changes
Side Note
One of the challenges I face is that despite my clear preference, I have to respect the client’s choice and make it work across various platforms. I often have to force myself detach from it a bit and take it less personal which I am getting more and more comfortable.
